My name is Loretta Arey. I'm a wife, mother to 4, and proud owner of  Scottie  & Tango.  Sadly, Shadow passed away on Feb.9, 2006.  Please see a Tribute to Shadow’s page.

UPDATE:  After Shadow passed away, I purchased Scottie.  A young, green Belgian X Irish Draught.  He is very attractive and moves beautifully.  He is one of those very funny horses that gets into everything!  If it is left out, he Will get it, eat it, and/or kill it.  Either that or it ( whatever IT may be) will scare the pants off him.  That in itself is a sight to see since he is 17.2hh and weighs about 1600-1800lbs!

About

Shadow is the one in front, and Tango is in the background.  Watching these 2 when they are turned out is hysterical.  Tango is 20, Shadow is 24 (?)  Tango trots Shadow, throwing his head around, asking to play.  Then he’ll kick up his heels, free jump even!  He’ll do these small rears, and then gets Shadow started.  I could hardly believe my eyes! Had I not known better, I would have thought they were both 5 year olds!  I guess they are very happy here, together. :O)

The saga continues!

I purchased a horse to be friends with Shadow 2 weeks ago!  This was my first buying experience, and no, I did not go about quite right.  But, I did rely heavily on my intuition, and it has proved me right so far!  Tango is a 20 yr old Thoroughbred.  He was a lesson horse that had not been used lately and was taking up needed stall space.  He was headed for the auction house, and was DIRT cheap.  I put him through some bomb proof tests while looking at him, and nothing seemed to phase him.  Even the transition to my property was taken with a grain of salt.  He and Shadow get along like long lost brothers.  I’ve put my kids on him and led them around.  I’ve ridden him a few times now, and he seems to be very responsive and sweet.  Picks up a nice canter transition, and moves forward nicely in a trot, although he carries his head a bit high.  I am very excited about introducing him to our lovely trails.

After drinking the Xango Juice for a mere 6 days, my carpel tunnel and tendonitis no longer gave me ANY pain!

I had been wearing a splint on my wrist FULL TIME and was told I would need cortisone shots in my elbow.  Thank you XanGo!
